Interactive Technology Offers New Avenues for Inspiring, Exploring, and Revealing Naval Aircraft Careers to Middle School Students.

Integrating technology into the learning experience is an ongoing and progressive approach to teaching in the new digital age. Creating fun learning experiences holds the key to inspiring a new generation with multiple learning styles and strengths. The goal of this thesis is to provide interactive media which allows middle schoolers to explore an aircraft carrier and interact with characters to learn about naval aircraft carrier careers.  The key points investigated and applied to this project included research regarding opportunities for middle schoolers to learn in an enjoyable manner about the careers of those assigned to a naval aircraft carrier. Research also included actual naval aircraft carrier careers and feedback from middle schoolers and teaching professionals. The final solution includes creating interactive media which inspires middle schoolers to explore and investigate the many different and possible future workplaces such as the opportunities aboard a United States Naval Aircraft Carrier.
